New Column “Institutional Diary”
Together with Rachel Mader Institution as a Way of Life researcher Lucie Kolb started a new column in the magazine Brand-New-Life called Institutional Diary. Open Words on Action in (Art) Institutions Today, Anonymous if Necessary. It seeks and gathers open words about current actions in institutions, if necessary anonymously. It aims at reporting about loopholes within administrative control, about structural aberrations, about self-determined strategies for the occupation of infrastructure, about difficult decisions, about good and bad reasons for secret and uncanny alliances or about justification strategies in view of compromises made. In short: about individual experiences and tactics in dealing with structural framings of different order. It seeks reports in various forms: short statements are as conceivable as longer essayistic accounts, conversations, sketches, photographically illustrated documentations, or polemical expositions.
