Benoît Verjat – Visiting Researcher
Benoît Verjat is practice-based researcher who was trained as a designer at the HEAR (Strasbourg) where he graduated in 2010.
From 2010 to 2014 he was a researcher of Reflective interaction research program (dir. Samuel Bianchini) at EnsadLab (Art & Design Research Laboratory at Ensad, Paris). In 2015 he was part of SPEAP (Sciences Po, Paris) and Art and Politics experimental program. From 2015 to 2017 he worked in Sciences Po’s médialab (dir. Bruno Latour) as a designer. Since 2010 he is part of g-u-i.net, a graphic, interaction and space design collective based in Paris. Since 2011 he is teaching fast prototyping, design methods and interaction design at ENSAD (Nancy).
Benoît is interested in the way visual representation displayed at the speed of speech creates understandings and shared recomposed vision on complex issues while keeping perspectives. At the Critical Media Lab he will be prototyping an instrument to enable a diplomacy workshop around the work of Bruno Latour based on visual representation manipulation that will take place in Shanghai in May 2017.
