Dr. Viktor Bedö – Researcher

Dr. Viktor Bedö is street game designer, researcher and innovation consultant. His activities in research, innovation and art are driven by experimenting with method.

He is founder of Tacit Dimension, the independent research lab for street games. He co-founded the street games collective Invisible Playground in which he was member between 2010 and 2014. 2009 he was visiting researcher at Olafur Eliasson’s Institut für Raumexperimente. His games were featured by numerous international Festivals (i.e. Metropolis Festival Copenhagen, Hide&Seek Weekender London, Festival of Future Nows in the Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin).

Viktor was visiting researcher at the Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Junior Researcher at the Institute for Philosophical Research at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities. 2011 he earned his PhD (summa cum laude) in Philosophy with a thesis about visual thinking, embodied knowledge and interactive street maps at the Humboldt University Berlin and University Pécs. For seven years he has been lecturer at the HPI D-School in Potsdam, currently he is teaching a course on Asymmetric Games with Social Impact at Design Akademie Berlin.

As freelance innovation consultant he helps independent projects as well as corporations in setting up and carrying out user-centred innovation projects.
